Embarrassed by Depression: My Awkward Encounter with Old Friends

Have you ever been embarrassed by your depression? I remember a time, about 15 yrs ago, I was home and mega depressed as h***!!!! I was laying down in my living room, heater sat on 1000 in the middle of summer because I was cold. My clothes were crazy, hair standing up, and I got a knock on the door. I wasn't used to company, so I just answered it and guess who was standing to the other side? My friends from highschool, looking good and feeling great!! They stepped in my house and could barely breathe it was so hot. They were full of life while I was full of darkness. I hadn't spoken to them in years, never expected them to drop by. And I was sitting there looking like Pichachu. I wanted to dig a whole in my floor and crawl underground. 😩 (I can laugh about this stuff now, so that's what I'm doing today. 😂)
