just found the app and it's my first time doing this. uhh so I have a few disorders / mental health things I deal with. I've heard voices for a long time that I can date back to 2014 or so. the only person who has ever cared to listen to me about it professional wise said it's my PTSD but that doesn't make sense as it dates to before any of the major PTSD events I've had not counting one minor one that I had long overcome at that point. I believe she saw my autsim as a inability sort of thing because I could tell her one thing and she would brush it off but if someone else told her she took it seriously. I guess my question sorta lies in how do I deal with them? there's 3 main voices / personalities I can name and some others who aren't as out there as the others. my boyfriend said they've talked to him and he sees the change and difference between me and them and thinks it's something like borderline personality disorder as he's dated and known people with it before. obviously not a doctor but I'm struggling here with them and I hate hearing them but when I let them journal or be out so to say it gives me this feeling like I'm wrong or faking. I hope that makes sense I'm not too sure how else to word it :/ :(

Excellent advice Phryne. If the first doctor doesn’t listen, doesn’t get it, or you simply don’t like her/him, find another! Keep looking till you find the right one. Then get a therapist too. No need to do this alone and our family and friends are not qualified to really help.

Borderline Personality Disorder is not usually associated with different personalities. He may be thinking of DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder). Look for a doctor that specializes in personality disorders or schizophrenia. They’ll listen to you. People on the internet really can’t speak to your specific experience.

I would definitely see a psychiatrist. They may put you on some medication for the voices. You are not wrong for letting them out, it is beyond your control. I am hoping that you get the help you need. Feel free to ask any questions that you have. We are here to help eachother without judgement.
