does anyone else have a problem with some people saying you can do it, or just tell it to go away, when you know they are trying to be nice, and encouraging. what should I say that's polite but still passes the message?

@katc Also I say, "It isn't something I can turn off. I know I can do it, but I also know I am doing it a bit slower right now."

It is a problem I face daily at work and some times I'm polite and say " thank you, but it isn't that simple" and others it " I pray you never have to deal with this because I wouldn't wish it on Satan himself" It's usually the ones who are being sarcastic that I say the second one to.
“i appreciate the sentiment, it’s just a bit more complicated than that. but thank you for continuing to keep me in your thoughts.” unfortunately, the common person isn’t gonna have the right words or advice to help you, especially if they don’t know what it’s like. i’ve learned that depending on a therapist for advice is key and when you want to vent to loved ones, just stress to them how you just want a listening ear. that will take pressure off of them so they don’t have to worry about giving the right advice and they can just sit there with you and tell you they’re sorry you’re going through that and how that seems tough and that they love you. realistically, most peoples responses won’t help, but kindly educating them on what you’re going through is the best thing you can do.
@csk thx, and I see what your saying, you got it going through. What I always hate though is when it's my teachers.
