Hi, I'm Ashley a 22 year old with recently and randomly a very bad case of panic disorder anytime I'm in crowds (crowds being a very loose term since I can have an episode with just a few people in the room depending on the room size) or hear loud noises. I've always had issues with crowds and loud noises but not so much that Im constantly having panic attacks. I've reached out to my doctor about it and she prescribed me Xanax and having to be on yet another controlled substance (I'm on Adderall for my bad ADHD) makes me feel like a freak with something wrong with me even if I know it'll help me. I just don't know why the sudden change and just want to feel normal

Hi! I’m also 22 and was diagnosed with panic disorder recently along with some other things. I get triggered by large crowds and loud noises too. I’ve found it’s gotten worse since the pandemic, and I have also stopped using weed and alcohol to numb myself. That plus changing my medication has made me feel like a social pariah. But yeah, please message me if you ever wanna talk !

There's nothing wrong with taking medication. I'm glad you've been getting help!

@OctopusArm it's not even really the medication that stresses me out so much but just the fact that my panic disorder is progressing so fast. I'm terrified of whats going to happen in a year's time
