My arm hurts at night. The pain is more amin to inflammation or ache and it spreads across my left pectoral, shoulder, down the arm and up into my neck. My doctor said it is likely a pinched nerve, but my pectoral muscle has little bumpy bits when I feel it. It is giving me anxiety. I'm not sure what to do or feel.

I'm not a doctor, but those things have helped me. Also, ibuprofen can help the pain.

I agree that it sounds like a pinched nerve. The bumps might be muscle spasms. Did you tell/ask your doctor about the bumps? For relief, you can try putting a heating pad on the area, but if that makes the pain worse, then try ice.
