There is soooo much pressure in my neck, back (ribs), chest area this morning.. I want to stretch but I’m afraid it’ll just make the pain worse! I hate when I get like this mentally because I don’t know whether or not the next decision will make me better or worse.. especially since I have days where I stretch and it’s okay but then there are days when I stretch and I bring on more pain…

Maybe you could seek out a physical therapist so you can learn what kind of mobility activities are safe for you? Do be sure to tell them everything (I do mean everything!) about your pain and complications and what happens when you stretch.
Have to be careful though. I thought stretching was a good idea also and my rheumatologist out of the blue told me to get a ct scan of my neck. Turns out I have 3 herniated discs. Just be careful

@Timothy_P yesss you definitely have to be careful.. I have some mild degeneration in my spine/neck… I haven’t had a mri on it since 2018… but I have to get another one soon.. stretching has always been touch and go with fibromyalgia because it can do good but it can also do harm 😣 never really know until after 🤣🤣
@JustRachelle Exactly. I just went through weeks of multiple test and found I have so much more wrong from my neck to my tail bone. From bulging to herniations to complete deterioration nerve compression broken vertebrae and more. So you never ever know.
I promise the right stretches will make it better! It may hurt at first but it'll go away. If you have frequent issues with stretching causing more pain,you should ask your pcp about a muscle relaxer.
