Been dealing with a hypomanic episode, spending a ton of money, not sleeping, hyperfixating on projects for days, forgetting to eat and drink. But the biggest issue is the emotional lability and I’m just wondering if that’s typical for anyone else during manic episodes. One minute I’m on top of the world, the next minute crushing guilt over spending so much money, the next minute suicidal ideation and then I’m back to high energy and feeling amazing. Trying to figure out if my meds are making the hypomania worse. I’ve been on duloxetine for a few months.

Absolutely - I would feel like I could run a marathon during an episode! Then the next minute I was at rock bottom...are you on any medication?

@Roland duloxetine, topiramate, and risperidone. The duloxetine seems to help with the depression but I think may be making the mania worse
@Edelucia I'm on lamotrigine for my BP2 and it definitely balances me out. Not to say you need to change meds but it works for me at least. Do you see an APRN to adjust meds and levels?
