I am feeling a lot of grief today. Yesterday was my birthday and I find that grief makes it hard sometimes to fully enjoy those special moments. It's like all the special moments are tainted with the dark part of grief. I totally enjoyed my birthday, it was special and quiet and with my lovely little family, but it was also part of me that is missing my parents. 11 years older than the last birthday I spent with them.
