I lost my dad two years ago 3.13.20. The grief will never go away. You will find a place for it in your life. I try to keep my dad close by listening to music he used to listen to, take drives in the car with the windows rolled down, like we used to. Give and help people, like he used to do. We must have the courage to live without the ones we love and let them go when the time has come. I am still struggling with the letting go part. I still cry daily. Certain things trigger me. You just make room in your life for grief because you will always miss them. 😥

I didn't know my mom that well on a personal level we were just creating that bond in her last days of living I really didn't know what my mom liked or didn't like I didn't know her feelings emotions or anything like that I was just getting there with her

@RareEyez86 I understand. My dad had chronic illness but I wasn’t expecting him to pass when he did either. It’s been devastating. The only thing we can do is honor their memory by carrying on things they did. My dad loves to cook and help people. He loved football and his grandkids. I try to honor his memory everyday but doing something. Listening to music, driving in the car, helping someone in need or making his famous green chili. What are some things your mom did? How did she like to spend her days?
