I had a very similar situation in which I lost touch with a very dear friend because her husband was very controlling and didn't like how much we talked without him there. It was right around the time of a breakup I'd had that was quite traumatic and I really struggled with feeling completely abandoned by her and a lot of our other previously mutual friends (who all took his side because he was shouting to whoever would listen about me being terrible despite the fact he was the one in the wrong). Luckily I had one or two good friends and acquaintances who stood by me and got me through it from afar. It's hard to accept but no matter how much you love someone, if they don't want you in their life they are not worth your time and energy. My heart still aches from my old friends sometimes but almost two years on I wouldn't change how things happened because they might not have lead me here.

Have you talked to them? Often friendships break off due to misunderstandings and miscommunication. You say they decided that ur not worth it anymore but did they actually say that to you or is that something you are telling yourself. I am not trying to sound accusatory or harsh I just tell myself similar things w no evidence behind them. So I’m wondering if you do the same? Often things can be sorted out through communication! If they are just shitty friends I recommend trying to make new friends or spending more time with other friends you have. This will take your mind off your old friends and will allow you to realise that they weren’t all that anyway. Idk if that’s helpful but I hope you are doing ok be kind to yourself, it takes time 💕

@Futuremuffin thank u, and i have. Sometimes i do convince myself that people feel certain ways about me but with this, one of them did tell me i wasnt worth it multiple times. I do agree things can be sorted out through communication but in my case the arguments and fights and victimization got so bad that they avoid me, one even said im the reason shes leaving our school But yeah ive made a small little grouo of friends now i feel safe with. Thank you again for everything u said 💕
@oliviaaa honestly some ppl r crazy I’m sorry that ur friends have treated u this way but it’s great that u have other friends just focus on the good people in your life who bring you joy and you will b able to move past ur feelings of grief w time I promise ❤️
ill have to check that out!
@oliviaaa If you have any other significant others, I'd recommend it to them as well. It's split in two sections on the person experiencing grief and for those trying to support that person. ♥️
I HIGHLY recommend reading It's Okay to Not be Okay.
