In addition to prescription medications my G.I. doctor prescribed OTC products: IBgard and enzymes. I'm on a low FODMAP diet, but some of those foods cause flare-ups.

I've been taking 72mcg Linzess for over a year now along with 40mg Protonix and the only time I get a flare-up is when I eat spicy foods. When a flare-up occurs I take .05 mg Xanax which relaxes the large colon and eases the discomfort. I also take OTC meds - IBgard along with enzymes and Gut Heath which is a soil base probiotic.
