idk how to describe this but my mom is a huge stressor in my life - we fight, she fights with my stepdad, and when I confront her about how it's unfair for her to blame me, she calls me depressed. the thing is, at most I'm just stressed and anxious, is there anyway (when I go get evaluated - bc she's convinced I'm depressed) that I can convey this to the doctor because I have a feeling she may have already lied to the specialist.

I feel for you. I’ve been at odds with my mom ever since I moved out of my parents house. She’s the only one who can be right, only her opinion counts and she’s always negative. She puts me down. It really disgusts me how little faith she has in me.

I've been in this boat and honestly if you have been honest about feeling this way to her multiple times then you've been fair and done what you can, be honest with the doctor about what is going on and if you expect she has been trying to manipulate the doctor bring this up as a concern and how badly its affecting your quality of life. I know it's super scary but you owe it to yourself to try!

@KikiKiss I'm super scared bc she's controlling of a lot and then she plays nice about it

@sammieeee that what mine did also, eventually I just stood up to it and removed myself from the situation, I did what I wanted and just ignored her tantrums and eventually people realized how bat shit crazy she was, also it helps to record videos and conversations

I am dealing with very similar issues with my mom. Even though I am 21 she relentlessly interject herself in every part of my life possible.

If your over 18 its your right to gp in by yourself amd talk cause of patient and doctor confiscated the obly time the have to hBe someone in their is if you threat suicide or self harmor others. So she probably said something but most likely the doctor is foing to be your wordss and not hers

@laceyandme I'm 17, and truly I want it to only be me and the doctor because I feel uncomfortable with her there

@sammieeee oh i see ummm maybe call or email the doctor and tell him you just want you only and that your not in danger of hurting yourself or others if you are doing that then maybe try telling him when gets to know you better that way your mom wont have to be there
