Dealing with a Narcissistic Bully: My Experience

CW: abuse, trauma, bullying, manipulation, and gaslighting I have seen what some may call The Devil. It is a fake smile that hides murderous eyes. It makes you feel sick. It compliments you in one sentence, and insults you in the next. I am talking about the fear you feel when being manipulated and knowing it. The narcissistic bully. I re-experienced the trauma of being relentlessly pushed, singled out, insulted, and shamed. Friends, I believe I have crossed paths with a psychopathic bully who uses thinly-veiled sarcasm and repetition to distract and gaslight his victim. And he didn't much like it when I saw right through it after repeatedly trying to end the conversation. He overwhelmed me with an onslaught of insincere compliments and tried to intimidate me (which did not work when I saw it for what it was), but when I finally had enough and walked off, I realized my friend was alone with him. This may have been irrational, but given the particular circumstances and the little I knew about him, I saw that my friend was in a high probability of danger given the facts I knew. So, I kept trying to rescue this friend. The guy wasn't taking the hint until I lost my cool because the whole thing was a shit show of him trying to mess with us. I could see that this guy was at least very mean-spirited and not worth our time but at worst he could be trying to hurt us physically, emotionally, or financially in some way. He was an envious bully, and he had a hatred in his eyes that made my skin crawl once I noticed it. I felt the same gut feeling I had before I was robbed at gunpoint last year. I listened to it this time.
