How do people deal with BPD as I am struggling with my diagnosis?

Having that label to the way I feel can be refreshing at times, especially knowing that I'm not alone and making friends who think just like me.

I personally found it easier to manage as I and other doctors thought I had bipolar before which would be out of my control recovery wise so I found bpd as it's able to "heal" in a way with some therapies like DBT easier to accept It doesn't exactly go away mind you but becomes a chunk easier eventually šŸ˜… Main part of it I found difficult was that I have it due to trauma from my upbringing and that sucked But I know diagnosis like these ones can be shocking to many I'm just a bit odd maybe Hope you feel settled about it soon

@mamabear1990 aww right I understand and aw right I didn't know that thank you. Yeah my BPD is all due to my childhood and upbringing and who I associated myself with. I understand that totally though. That is true and I am odd too so nothing new there. Thank you

@Hopalong like because it develops from trauma sometimes I get sad that I could of NOT had bpd if my family were different people (nicer and not abusive would if helped a tonne) or if I was able to judge friends better but I've found social stuff hard from autism forever But otherwise the fact it is able to be healed to a degree helps me Can't heal bipolar as that's a meds for life type deal so took comfort in the simple fact if I worked hard I'd slip up sure but I'd be better then I was last year :)
