Thinking about it, I suppose so. I never knew I had adhd when I was younger, so I was just labeled as the odd child who couldn't focus. What I mostly learned is that if I do anything "cringe" I'll be gawked at and outcast. Now, it makes me anxious even thinking about interests or previous ones of mine just because even thinking of something "cringe" brings up my anxiety. It ostracizes anyone who is just trying to explore an interest, and how to express their appreciation for said interest. It's very damaging and I'm still trying to heal from those feelings that I'll be outcast for even liking something that other people don't. So yes, I agree.
