Has anyone ever had a spouse or significant other leave for an extended period of time? My husband is a merchant mariner and is out at sea for 6 months starting today. We used to work out at sea together but I found a job I love so I’m staying. He is choosing to go back. I agreed because the money was great and this line of work makes him happy. But this separation is hitting me hard and my anxiety is making it difficult to cope. I miss his presence so much and wonder how anyone does this on a regular basis. Any tips or tools you have would be appreciated.
