I recently was in the hospital 2x within last month for first time ever for mental health and I am 26, and I don’t regret it at all

I've had the question of being admitted over my head a lot this year. There are pros and cons. On one hand, it's a place that is dedicated to helping you Get Better. On the other hand, you're life has to go on hold and I think a lot of the fear comes from not knowing what that means. I don't really have an answer for you but you aren't alone out there.

I'd seek out less aggressive forms of rehabilitation first, group therapy or one on one sessions with a psychiatrist/therapist, if you can. If not I'd seek out other avenues like I'd said before diving head first into this. While if it does prove necessary I think you should do it, have you sought out therapy, any form of social grounding through friends, peers, etc?

All of the ones in my state have nothing but negative reviews. Im unsure what to do next. Advice appreciated.

One of the scariest at first things I've ever chosen to do but also a saving grave and beneficial thing for me. Being admitted helped me not only regulate my meds, it also taught me new ways to cope and bond with others who are also struggling with mental health issues.

I have never personally been committed for anything but my husband has when he was younger. From what he told me it was scary at first but once he started feelin better things really changed for him. He learned new ways to cope and get through things. He's changed in a good way
