Does anyone else find comfort from you partner falling asleep on FaceTime with you and you kinda just lay there for a bit and look at them sleep and it’s just comforting knowing your person is right there next to you but not physically (if that makes sense) it’s just something about it seems to make everything better.

My fiance and I met about 4 years ago. We lived about a half hour from each other, so that wasn't a terrible issue, but we worked different shifts. He worked mornings I worked 2nd. When I got home at 10pm he would let me FaceTime him. We would talk for a little bit, then we would fall asleep on the call and wake up to each other's voice. (Or alarm. Lol) we did that everyday we were apart until he joined the army about 8 months in to our relationship. When he was at basic, he didn't have his phone, so we couldn't FaceTime. But once he graduated basic and went to his advanced training, we went back to facetiming every night. We now live with each other, and he is my entire heart. We are going to get married this year. Facetiming all night is 100% a comfort thing. For both of you. I believe it helped me get to know my fiance in ways I probably wouldn't have otherwise. Hope this helps.

My boyfriend and I do this nightly. We'll fall asleep together over FaceTime, and if we skip a night, I can't sleep.

Me and my partner used to spend all of our time video chatting. Since we're both disabled and have been at least semi bed ridden our whole relationship and long distance for a chunk of it. It worked as a nice adjustment for going from separate households to two bedridden people sharing a bed almost all day and having him there at night even if it wasn't physically helped a lot with my nightmares and anxiety.

I look forward to my goodnight Discord call with my significant other every night. It helps with the distance. We met in college and now he's graduated and living at home. We're an hour apart and we usually see each other once every week or every other week. It makes up for the time apart and it's routine for us

@celizzie my boyfriend calls me multiple times through out the day except when he’s at school then it’s normal twice a day, and normally we fall asleep on the phone, it’s our routine, except for today, I haven’t been up to call him today cause I know he’s gonna ask how I’m doing and I don’t want him to deal with my problems right now

@Augustus_Flynn is everything okay? I understand wanting distance from your partner because you don't want to put a burden on them. Take it from me, you are not burdening them by telling saying what's on your mind

Yes I do but that's all I got with my wife because her sister won't allow me to see her so I treasure the video calls and the falling asleep together it makes me feel special and wanted

100% it feels less alone. I think I'll always favor it over physically going to bed and sleeping next to someone just because its company without the touch, lol.
