does it bother anyone else when ADD and ADHD are considered the same thing? I truly don't think they are...I've never had that physical "hyperactive" part of it.

I have ADD but I don’t have the hyperactive part of it. I use to have a hard time concentrating in school. I know a friend who’s son has ADHD and he is very hyper and also has a hard time concentrating.

I don't like that the terms are the same but I also don't like the term "attention deficit". It's more of an attention imbalance because of hyperfocus.

My psych and I are of the opinion that the name is no longer the best description of what we know about the disorder now. We call it ADD sometimes, executive deficit other times.

@iSleptAllDay executive deficit...that's an interesting term for it

I have the inattentive part of it. I can relate.
