Can a Cat Cure All My Problems?

I started volunteering at the animal shelter once or twice a week. I basically go to socialize/pet the cats. It meets a care giving need i have, and you feel a sense of affection from them when they rub against your hands. Its a very rewarding and mindful experience. It helps.

Not all of them 💕 but furry friends can be wonderful companions. Something I had to seriously consider was whether I was healthy enough to care for an animal. I find that walking my dog regularly, rather than being a burden, enforces more schedule and routine in my life and I’m healthier for it. But that may not be the case for you. ♥️

Personally having dogs has been the only thing that has made coping with all my conditions even remotely possible. Cats have more needs than food and a litter box change so if you’re not up to researching and I implementing how to keep them mentally healthy (which has made me much more aware of my own mental health) then having a cat may make you feel worse but if research and taking care of other things helps you I definitely a cat!!!!!

A furry friend won’t solve all your problems, but they can help tremendously. I have a dog and she always calms me when the world is too much and helps me get back on my feet (metaphorically). 💕
