Absolutely not. The media's hysteria over NPD and narcissists is 100% blown out of proportion. There is so much stigma surrounding NPD and cluster B personality disorders. NPD is not the bad person disorder, it's developed because of childhood trauma and it just means that you had to survive through things that children should never have to go through. People with NPD are so strong and are some of the kindest people I've ever met.

No. You're not a bad person for something you can't control. The way PDs are portrayed are just adding to stigma, but the Cluster B community is a genuinely nice community who just wants to be understood. People keep writing about how we're "bad people" and that's not true. Hope you have a good day <3

of course not. no one is a bad person for anything other than the actions they deliberately choose to do. NPD isn't an action. it's not even a set of behaviors, which a lot of people seem to believe it is. it's a ball of distorted, inflexible, and destructive beliefs that can present itself in many different ways. if you've taken bad actions, repeatedly, that hurt people, you could qualify as a "bad person", but I think everyone is capable of change. not everyone WANTS to change, but everyone has the ability to with the right outside help and personal work put into it. so perhaps a "bad person" is someone who deliberately hurts others and has no desire to change.
