Has anyone taken a regime of budesonide for colitis? I’m currently taking 3-3 mg capsules once a day m 4 weeks, then 2 mg/ for 2 weeks, the 1 mg/day for 2 weeks. I’m still in the 3 capsule stage. This medicine is a steroid (I’m thinking kinda like prednisone) but was told by my doctor there was no systemic effect, it passed on through and worked in the colon. I also have RA, so I have experience with steroids. Arthritis-wise, I have felt better than I have in a long time so can’t help but think the budesonide has something to do with it. Has anyone else had this happen to them??
