I feel like I'm going crazy. I had my very first pap smear in January 2022 at 21 years old. My pelvic anatomy didn't go back to normal like every one told me it's supposed to. my cervix is enlarged and sticking into my vagina canal like a blockage, the top and bottom of my vaginal walls are bulging out the front, my ureathra is swelled up and there's weird tissue their that's never been there before, ive got bladder leakage and can never fully empty myself everything just feels WRONG. I've looked so much on google and uterine prolapse is the most accurate description I can find. I've been looked at by two different doctors one gyno and one doctor from a planned parenthood both tell me I look fine and that I just have a "short and narrow vagina". By 21 years old I know my body. I've been sexually active for a long time and even just putting a finger in there now is painful and uncomfortable. Ive gone through a round of antibiotics for "infection and swelling" but absolutely nothing change. How do I get help. How does this happen after a pap smear and nobody can tell me why. I've been miserable for 10 months now being gas lighted by every women I speak to. WHAT DO I DO? HOW CAN I GET HELP. I CANT KEEP LIVING LIKE THIS.

Check for EDS because I found my issues through that. They recommended pelvic floor therapy and possibly a pessary. A urogynocologist is also the best bet because regular gynecologist don't do much with the bladder along with the uterus.

Everything you just said are my symptoms completely but mine happened after sex not ppap smear. Did you find anything out about it?

Do you familiar with the term vaginismus? Maybe pelvic floor muscles relaxation exercises will help

@Tomato I just looked that term up and I don't believe thats what I'm dealing with but I do think seeing a pelvic floor physical therapists is my next step.

@Olivebutter2236 seeing a pvfl therapist is the best imo! But!! Please get checked out for EDS if you’ve noticed that you are hyper-mobile or double jointed and if you have teeth/gum issues no matter how much you brush. 1 in 5,000 people have EDS, it’s a genetic disorder, and it can cause a myriad of problems including pelvic organ prolapse to happen VERY easily (so easily that doctors won’t believe it happened from “just a papsmear”. I found out I have EDS BECAUSE of my cystocele and rectocele (and I’ve never had children).
