How can I keep my blood sugar below 200? I have medical advice about my many meds. What I need are ideas about eating; specifically what might be better choices and how to time eating, etc. I am also limited in exercising because I am needing a knee replacement revision. It is scheduled for May 30. I need to get my A1c down from 7.7 to 7.5 by May 6. I will be on vacation for two weeks in April with my husband, who also has diabetes and eats whatever he wants. Thanks for your help.

"Try to stick to carbs being under 10g and protein being over 10g per meal. Also, all of your carbs should be eaten by 6:30pm. This can help manage blood sugars. Additionally, weight loss can significantly help with blood sugar control. It's important to minimize starch, sugar, and oils in your diet. If possible, use olive oil instead of vegetable oil when you cook. However, it's crucial to consult with your doctor before making any significant changes to your diet or medication regimen."
