One of the worst things I've had to deal with and overcome this year has been Globus Sensation. Around December of 2022, I developed this strange lump in my throat after consuming a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup. I was constantly thinking of ways to eliminate that feeling by throwing up, or eating slower than I already normally do. Not knowing what was causing me such an uncomfortable feeling within my throat, I was going crazy. Until one fateful day, I looked up my symptoms and found out that many other people were experiencing the exact same thing. They called it "Globus Sensation". In a way, I was relieved to know that my condition was mental and that I was not in any physical danger. However, I did struggle a lot to eat, especially when it came to consuming hot foods and swallowing pills. To this day, I STILL cannot consume many hot foods, especially soup (which, frankly speaking I was never truly a big fan of them either way 😆). A lot has changed in my life since I've been plagued by this mental disorder, but I was able to overcome this obstacle by treating my anxiety with a therapeutic app called "Wysa", along with many other things. 1. Changing my sleep schedule. I used to sleep really really late at night, but nowadays, I try my best to sleep at 9 p.m. every night, at most 10 p.m. 😂 2. I used pressure points to relieve my symptoms for anxiety and for the Globus Sensation as well 🌸 and 3. I tried my hardest to keep myself and my noisy alters from raising their voices. Often, Jupiter (one of the gatekeepers), is the LOUDEST and possibly funniest alter in the System, but his voice had a price on my vocal chords. We've strained our vocal chords for many years, and I suppose that this also contributed to me developing Globus Sensation over the years. And, unfortunately, I can't control my alters. Oftentimes, they end up controlling me! 😂 But, I won't let that bring me down. Contrary; It's allowed me to learn a lot about acupressure and has given me the opportunity to pay close attention to my mental health, so, in a way... I'm thankful for it ✨❤️
