Struggling with Body Image Before Top Surgery Consultation

I have my top surgery consultation Nov 8th and having that date has triggered my ED bad.. like I know some surgeons will limit the max weight you can be for surgery and my head tells me I need to get to the point of having to GAIN weight for surgery to be valid. I’m so stuck and unhappy. How do you guys take care of your now body so your future body can be loved how you know you deserve?

Hi I'm new here so still getting used to this platform. But I'm extremely excited for you with your consultation! I am also looking to have top surgery but had to push it off because of insurance issues. I know I can't relate to you exactly but I think it's important to recognize that you are taking steps to make yourself happy

I’ve been transitioning for almost 8 years now. I remember that my “prior” self got me to where I am today. I may be different than other trans folks but I’m thankful for her and love her for that. She suffered a lot but she was strong enough to help the real me come out, if that makes sense. So I try to remember that and really work on loving all of me. I try to do a “self check” every so often and see what I need. Whatever is happening physically can come out emotionally so if I’m having a bad time, it may mean I am hungry, or whatever is going on is making me uncomfortable. I’m kind of talking big picture. If you ever want to talk about top surgery or transitioning, feel free to message me!
