I am very new, only a week post dx, but have been taking walks every evening after dinner, and have been trying belly massage. It's hard to say either way with the walks, but I do think the massage helps. I was prescribed Reglan, but had to stop after just a few days. My calves swelled badly and the muscles felt extremely tight and painful. Now I'm kind of terrified and unsure about ANY other drugs. I was recommended thing like Pepto, Nexium, Pepcid. But it was all said so quickly and excitedly, and by a nurse who's job is to help coordinate care but doesn't actually know me, and only has my ER and hospital records...I don't quite understand how she thought I should use them. I'm not sure if she was giving me symptoms I'm not currently experiencing. It seemed like it. I think she also has GP, and her son has stuff going on...so all in all I'm quite confused.

I take zofran, nexium, and manage with my diet. Smaller meals, learning trigger foods. When I’m in pain I use a heating pad as well

I use Gasx for bloating I usually have 1-2 before I have a risky meal with bloating. Mirilax for constipation, Dramamine ginger chews for nausea (you can get them from Amazon) peppermint oil either diffuse or topical behind ear, neck, and you can even rub it on your belly and it will sooth some of your symptoms. Peppermint is amazing for head aches and nausea. I had a bad concussion and couldn’t take any meds when I was younger and the peppermint oil helped so much I healed in 2 weeks.

@Always_Napping Cannabis too helps a lot with pain, nausea, and gives you appetite. But talk with your doctor first. 💪 stay strong!

Definitely no big meals. If I eat a lot at once, it’s pretty much guaranteed I will throw it up soon after. Sleep helps some. Keeping away from trigger foods, especially anything super greasy.

For me Sleeping but I also struggle with Other intestinal issues and doing my artwork helps get my mind off everything and brings me to out of my body to a different place where I can relax and let my creativity flow

@100Percent_K Oh and smaller more frequent meals rather than bigger ones spaced out
