Does anyone know how to not get burnt out so easily? I recently forgot to check my pockets while doing laundry. Long story short it all came out of the dryer with pink lip gloss EVERYWHERE. Thankfully we managed to get it all out but it was a very tedious process going from yesterday through today. I told my mom I'm feeling burnt out from it and she said it makes her worry about my ability to get and maintain a job.. I'm sure deep down she wants me to go on disability but I really don't want to! Any tips on how to not get burnt out/how to maintain a job and whatnot?

Your brain is focusing on too many things at once and I recommend finding mobility aid and talking to your boss/manager about what will work for you :D

I have ADD and ADHD so I write down a list of things that I have to do and I focus on one thing at a time

Well, self care is number 1. Also, being on disability isn't a bad thing and there are ways to work while having disability. Have you thought about volunteering at like an animal shelter or somewhere you feel more relaxed in? Like a library for a bookworm or a community center if you like to people. Also, have you seen a therapist, psychiatrist, or a doctor? Sometimes these can help. Have you tried vocational therapy where assess you to know what you can do, what accomodations you may need, and what is out of the picture?

@NonbinarySlytherin I haven't volunteered in that way but I do take part in a volunteer ministry as much as I can and I really enjoy it. I'm trying to find a therapist but finding someone who understands autism and is accepting new patients locally is turning out to be pretty difficult. I've never heard of vocational therapy though, definitely looking into it now thanks!!!

@sleepyhippo no problem. Also, a great way to find a therapist is through the Psychology Today website. It lists a lot of information about each therapist so you can be informed. I found mine through it.
