How to ask for adequate mental health support from friends? I’ve been asking for years and have felt alone in my struggle for the entire time. Cycled through friends, talked through with them, asked different therapists, etc. everyone just says “ask for help!” But what do you say? What’s too much to ask? Too little?

@Meowjuana_420 I’ve been told this in response to this question many times. I don’t know how to ask friends to be there for me. They often are not. They say they will be but they hardly show up for me.

Your friends most likely cannot give you mental health help. Friends can definitely be there for you but they won't give you the same type of professional help a therapist will because they aren't trained to know how to deal with that stuff. ❤️
