I have a more severe case of trich. I never could control it with fidgets, distractions, relaxation, gloves, etc, because the urges were WAY too strong. I finally found a medication that helps a lot. Mirtazapine. Now I have an occasional urge, but I'm able to resist it by relaxing, doing something else, etc. It's much more manageable.

I manage it by having one hair I'm allowed to pull, a nice thick one, from my eyebrow. And my wife makes sure to gentle redirect me when I start doing it

I agree, I’ve tried all the fidget toys but I always seem to come back to my hair
