OMG I am so with you on this one. Kills me. I can be in an awesome mood, but the clutter comes into focus and good mood is kicked right out and replaced with frustration. Daily basis.

It's often less overwhelming to pick apart the task(s) into little bits in sized you can comfortably start and using alarms and other tasks as start/finish time markers. So instead of thinking "I need to mop and do laundry" think "I need to gather my clothes while the hot water runs" and go from there or start it a little more complex if you can handle it like "I need to mix the cleaning solution after I start my clothes to wash" and then continue from there. It also helps to ride on any hyperactive episode you might have so you can use the energy productively. Definitely softens the blow of not sleeping or eating and constantly needing to move when my entire area is clean the next day.

I relate to this so much. I have a room where you can't see the floor where everything is, and I go in to clean it and come out an hour later feeling like I made no progress. I'm working on throwing away a bag of stuff from the room every time I go in there, it's been slowly improving, but I don't understand how anyone could clean it in an afternoon or keep everything clean. We clean a lot, and yet the chaos wins.

i totally get it. i’m in the same boat. so i typically get energy to do anything at night even if i stress about it all day lol. what helped me yesterday was picking up and cleaning by category. i literally just ignored everything else and focused on picking up socks. then any trash/bottles. it might seem silly but it helped me get more done. look at it little by little. if you get stuck today, there’s always tomorrow!

@adibenz yes I agree making a "game" out of it bu finding everything in that category does help

Me too! All the time. One thing I found that helps me some is putting music in while cleaning or watching cleaning videos on YouTube. I'd like to say sticking to the daily clean mama schedule on Instagram but I haven't been able to actually keep up....still trying to though.

@IcedChai Also I start by throwing a pile of clothes in the washer then go to the kitchen and start on dishes then just picking up things on the counters then floors last
