So I’m supposed to undergo my first surgery for endometriosis excision but am not really sure what to expect. I’ve had a hard time contacting my Dr and google searching isn’t really my favorite source. Any feedback would be helpful, thanks!

You will be going through Laparoscopic surgery. It is a surgical technique in which short, narrow tubes are inserted into the abdomen through small (less than one centimeter) incisions. I have a friend who did this surgery for another abdomen problem and she was back on her feet after three days! Hope it will do you good wishing you good luck!

Hey, my doc suggested getting that surgery, but I haven't come around to a decision about it yet. I know that there are several types of surgery, depending on your severity. And from what I understand, this surgery really lowers the pain

Well they are most likely going in laproscopically I just had a laproscopic surgery at the end of September the first week after was very rough I was very bloated and sore and tired the whole time have plenty of snacks that are super easy don't worry about what is healthy just worry about having something you can put in your body. On top of that the first night was agony I actually didn't notice my stomach pain because the pain from my phrenic nerve reacting to all the carbon dioxide was intense you may have to sleep sitting up, I had to, because as soon as I tried to lay down I had intense stabbing pain between my ribs and shooting out in all directions from my shoulder blade. I cried my, boyfriend cried, and my body cried. Crying laughing and sneezing hurt a lot the first week. It still hurt some the second week but bearable. The nerve pain was fortunately gone by the third day but oh boy that sure was the worst part for me.
