Every time I go into work I feel anxiety building up as the time for my shift gets closer, anyone have any tips on how to reduce this anxiety? I’m fine when I’m physically at work but the hour leading up to it is unbearable :/

It helps me some to remind myself that it’s normal and okay to feel anxious. My body is trying to prepare me to perform at my best. This happens every time and I know I’ll get thru it just like every other time. Obviously it doesn’t work every time but over time I do less invalidating of “I can’t/shouldn’t feel anxious rn” which makes it a lot worse

I have felt this before where i can just get anxious at the anticipation of something even if it’s not a significant event. Maybe listening to some relaxation music with like nature sounds could help a little bit. Or a visualization exercise where you imagine your reoccurring thoughts flowing down a creek
