Valve Replacement: Looking for Experiences

I had my aortic valve replaced with a mechanical one in 2014. It was uneventful. Recovered well and didn't have any problems until 4 years later. My doctor told me my valve replacement was failing(due to a tooth infection I had at some point after surgery... according to them). Had my re-replacement of that failed valve 2 years ago. I'm alive and kicking like a (maybe not a spring chicken... But more a summer chicken...lol) I hope what I told you doesn't scare you. I just wanted to let you know surgery IS a scary thing but if it can save your life it's worth it.

I haven’t had any intervention besides open heart at 12 hours and 4 months. Plus heart caths. But im so scared i need surgery again
