      I try to remind myself that they’re not truly indicative of what I feel or believe. I also “talk” (think) back to them. “we’re not doing that.” “that’s not true.” “calm down edgelord”

      Tik tok has helped anytime I’m over thinking or having intrusive thoughts. A few videos in and i forgot what i was thinking about

      I have a bad problem with those I get almost all day long everyday, sumtimes I don’t even realize it’s an intrusive thought I get so stuck on it but my therapist told me every time I get one to notice it then think of a stop sign and breath tell it to stop, that that’s what is an intrusive thought invading my head it’s not me

      I write down how I'm feeling when I do have overthinking intrusive thoughts but write it down and then close your journal and walk away.Then go back and read what you wrote at a later date when you are not having overthinking intrusive thoughts and maybe you'll see what triggers them and work on that.

        @Gwen71 i’m gonna try writing them down but i hate my stupid thoughts i’m gonna burn the paper instead

          @Jancsi you can write down then burn it afterwards.

        @Gwen71 When I had bad depressive thoughts I always found it helped to write down those phrases, almost like transferring them from my brain to a physical surface so they couldn't take up space there anymore. It helped me to acknowledge them and then visually shuffle them aside.

          @FaerieBefriender yes,that's exactly what I'm talking about 👍

        @littlefrog "calm down edgelord" goes through my mind all the time 😂 first part is just realizing so you can try to find a new angle of thinking

      I've never had much luck with my antidepressants or anxiety meds. Listening to alan watts lectures for years has helped me the most. Feel what you need to feel and the root of suffering comes from attachment. Learn to let go and go with the river. By letting things be and controlling what we can it has given me the chance to relax and accept life for what it is.

      not sure if this advice will help you.. but usually I just try to distract myself. anything you might find fun, baking, arts and crafts.. stuff like that. trying to focus on a show might help 2! :) Sometimes I try to reason with myself as well.. resurring yourself and knowing you dont want them may also help... so sorry if this isnt useful 2 u :(
