So I do a lot of things to keep my migraines at a manageable level. I take trokendi xr, namenda, naratriptan (as a rescue), magnesium infusions, Botox, occipital nerve block, spg nerve block, ‘migraine protocol’ with a PT, and just recently experimented with depakote infusions. Everyone’s regimen is personal and tailored to their own needs, but these are the things I’m using to be a semi-functional human.

I've had them most of my life but chronic since 2014. For natural I use: eucalyptus or peppermint oil. Put a few drops behind my ears and some on the forehead. Medicine: I take Amitripyline 100mg at Nighy. It's a prevention medication and it works really good. Has definitely helped mine out. I also take Butalbutal/acetaminophen that is as needed when I get a migraine. Helps more then not when I take them. Sometimes I have to take more then one

I have been doing dry needling through my physical therapist to help with neck tightness and it has also helped my migraines. Hope this helps

@Solvi do you flare up any after the needling ? that’s what made me quit doing that

Botox saved my life. I was basically home bound and in a constant loop of migraines.

For me seeing a neurologist that specializes in headaches is key. I have had success with nurtec and Botox but everyone is different and unfortunately you might need to try a lot of different options before you find one that works for you ❤️ best of luck

Rizatriptan!! It’s a pain medicine that helps my migraine pain when it starts! Also, injectable medicines are a lifesaver!! Sooo good at preventing migraines. Also, maybe go to a chiropractor sometimes you could have muscle or joint tightness. Try tea, yoga, essential oils
