she'll pass on her own when the pain gets to be too much for her, and she'll pass knowing she's so so loved by you. it's hard to watch her decline knowing you can't do anything, but holding her and loving her is more helpful than you'll ever know

They are not entirely gone and live in your memory. I know how hard it is to let go, especially when there's life and sentiment involved but remember it wasn't empty time.

As someone who has raised hammys for 6 years I feel you. It breaks my heart when they pass. I always just am happy I was able to give them a home for their short time here with us.
