I’m 23 years postop from a gastric bypass. I’ve written several books and now wellness coach and I am an expert with the procedures that could be the pitfalls after bariatric surgery. Currently I struggle with whether I should allow a revision because of scar tissue. Anyone have any advice or suggestions?

Is the scar tissue hurting you, if it is I would say yes. But keep in mind your body just might build up scar tissue again after a revision. It is your body's reaction. This happens alot not just wls surgery. I am the expert in this field. I have had over 25 different types of surgery. Some plastic, tummy tuck my arms done boobs made smaller, that was before wls. Lol. So now real small.
I had my RYN in 1999. I had to go back cause I was having reflux real bad. But then I ended up with a bad infection at the wound site, before I left the hospital. Glad it happened in the hospital. The wound had the from inside out. So it took some time to heal. I also ended up with Savage hernia at the bottom of my esophagus.
