Dealing with Rejection and Depression

One thing that contributes to my depression is rejection. I DO NOT take it well whatsoever, if at all. It makes me incredibly sad to the point where all I can do is cry to the point of feeling like my eyes are going to explode. Does anyone else not deal with rejection well? This could be for anything, personal or professional. How do you deal?

      I’m 36 and I’ve thrown in the towel with trying to connect with people, especially when it comes to dating. I get extremely shy and I’m very afraid of judgement. I can’t deal with rejection anymore. I have a lot to offer but people want perfect relationships. My life is just staying at home always. I’m only safe at home.

      This sounds like rejection sensitive dysphoria. I have it due to ADHD and likely autism. I usually manage by thinking logically about the situation. It sounds difficult, and it can be, but it really does help
