2 months having persistent tinnitus now. And I still can’t accept it and deal with it. I used to love silence and and I needed it to do my study work properly. I feel my life is ruined: I have insomnia, my anxiety has worsened, I have started experience symptoms of depression and no one really understands me - I am so tired of hearing “calm down, don’t worry, put some white noises, do a warm bath” and bla bla. I’d really want to drop off everything, from my work to my social life, as I feel I can’t enjoy anything with this constant annoying ringing in my ear. Anyone experiencing the same? How are you coping?

I get it. However. If I'm absorbed in anything, I don't notice it. But sometimes you just want quiet then it bothers me. I'm going to try acupuncture for one. Doc said zoloft has helped some people

Just wondered if you have had your iron levels tested? Tinnitus is a common symtom for low iron, ferritin in particular. X

I've had that ringing in my ears my entire life.. I never knew it had a name until a few years back. I wish there was a way to make it go away. I also suffer from anxiety and have been for about 25 years or so. I also have social anxiety disorder as I don't want to be out in a social setting while in the middle of a panic attack.

Dude, I hate it too. I just try to stay busy most of the day. There's some otc drops you can buy. It helps me a little.

@SecondChance are those nasal drops? I’ve tried nasal drops, but I can’t see any immediate relief
