Had a diagnostic surgery for suspected endometriosis. Provider said nothing but since then my provider says “I think you have endo” and then throws a new treatment at me. I feel like she didn’t even do anything. Anybody else have this issue? Is it time to get a new provider? I’m tired of hurting and feeling like an experimental patient. What I do know is sometimes I can’t walk or get out of bed due to the pain. I get super bloated my pants don’t fit me. Also tired of being told “if you just lose weight…”

Please get a new doctor- based on how my surgeon treats me it seems very irresponsible of them to perform surgery for diagnosis with no plan of treatment for if they found endo. I’m so sorry this is happening to you! There are a ton of doctors that call themselves endo specialists and know nothing about current treatment. Find someone you trust and who respects you and your experience

Sounds like you don't trust your provider and for good reason! It's important that you feel safe and that you are taken seriously. Otherwise even if you try this new treatment you won't believe it's right for you or that it will improve your condition. Try to find someone new who's really there to help you, you deserve better.

Hi, sorry to hear these are your feelings. I too felt for years like a 'therapeutic guinea pig' until I found my current doctor whom I trust with my eyes closed. My recommendation is to change to a different doctor - in my opinion, it is very important for the personal sense of security and the success of the treatment to trust your doctor.

I can really really. When ever I tell my provider anything she dismisses my symptoms but I realized that's because she doesn't know how to help me and that I'm looking for a referral to other places.

If your provider isn’t listening to you or dismissing you, that’s when it’s time to see a new one. a good specialist should be listening to you and doing what is best for you. communication is very much important. I had to switch because mine kept throwing BC on me.
