Hi, my name is Bethany and was officially diagnosed with endometriosis during my second laparoscopic surgery at the age of 22. My first surgery, the Doctor I had dismissed me and took out my appendix instead. I have had seven laparoscopic surgeries since I was 20. I started having female issues around 12 years old but did not have a period till I was 15 after having an ovary cyst that rushed me to the Emergency Room and was put on birth control that started periods. I have been on over 50 birth controls, had the Marina IUD, Lupron treatment, pelvic floor therapy, pain management therapist, and a few other things. I’m now 31 and I’m sick of being dismissed. I thought I had a great doctor who specialized in endometriosis but he doesn’t seem to want to help me now. Any advice or encouragement is welcomed.
