looking for advice on seeking mental healthcare for depressed/anxious autistics. CBT just doesn’t do it for me

      In my experience mindfulness meditation and finding a neurodiverse support group helped me a lot alongside traditional therapy!

      Speak with the therapist before you schedule an appointment and ask them about what types of therapy they specialize in, as well as letting them know that CBT hasn't worked for you. In the first meeting, make a game plan for what therapy types you're going to try with them. Each one should get a few sessions before it's ruled out, unless of course it causes you severe emotional distress. I would personally recommend trying psychodynamic or interpersonal therapy.
