So I’m caught in a dilemma. I want short hair but I absolutely hate how I look in it yet love my long hair but then I get reminded of how *feminine* I am and end up crying all night over how I hate my body and my chest and my presentation overall. z

You could try a side shave, with the rest of your hair long. I had that haircut for a couple years.

You could look into various hair cuts online to see if theres any longer haircut that looks the way youd want to present or something short that you think you'd actually look good with. Aside from that you can wait until you're more transitioned. It's a lot easier, dysphoria wise, to be GNC or have GNC aspects in your presentation when you've dealt with the larger more general areas of dysphoria like your chest/ body or socially.

my brother im in the exact same situation i know it sucks its such a hard decision but honestly if you love your long hair my advice would be to keep it because i think youd only be more upset if you cut it off and didnt like it
I’m 72 yr old beautiful woman and I have long blonde hair I don’t care if people think I’m too old I love it just for me

I had a short haircut, got gendered correctly a few times, but realized I liked my hair long. As it grows out, I get misgendered more frequently but I know that what makes me happy is having my hair long. I even guys with long hair get called girls too, just kind of the weird societal perceptions. But you gotta do what you like. Do what you think looks good on you and not what other people think, you’ll be much happier.

Maybe try a mullet. It’s the only long hair style that doesn’t make me feel super dysphoric. Plus queer mullets are sick AF /pos

I would recommend going online (maybe Pinterest) and looking up ways to style your hair in a masc presenting way. I also contour a little which helps. –Katsuki

long hair is seen as more neutral now that people are embracing it again culturally i hope that there isn’t one person or word that makes you feel like its gendered. plus you can style it in a way that wont feel so cis

If you your love long hair, keep it. What others see you as doesn’t matter, it’s how you feel and identify as that is true and matters. If others misgender you, correct them. You have a right to respect your own gender identity and expression as well
