How do you deal with family? I just spent the weekend with family and before me and my mom left she made a comment about me not having any ambition and it hurt. She said it was a joke but still. I have a bachelors and a masters degree. I worked 60 hours the last semester of masters school when I was a full time student. I am now making about 18 an hour working a very physical job being the only AFAB in the field. And because I can’t afford a place on my own or a car bc of where I live I am not ambitious. Or want to change companies when I have respect where I am and won’t have any in a new place. Like I have ended up crying bc of how I struggled to find a job and no one would hire me. So for her to say I am not ambitious even as a “joke” hurts. How do you deal with it bc I am at a loss rn.

Just stay positive your doing great. Half the things that people say are a reflection of themselves, you keep doing you and working and eventually all the pieces will come together but if you allow those comments to affect you that will disrupt your progress and it’s not fun going backwards.
@mymollydoll thank you
