Losing Friends Over Periods: Has Anyone Else Experienced This?

Few weeks ago a friend…. Well I thought she was a friend walked away because I was in the bathroom and didn’t answer my phone cuz I was on my period so she blocked me messaged me on instagram chat saying I “ didn’t take her seriously” anymore. This is the second person that’s walked away from me. Has anyone dealt with this before?

      @Hawkye I’m trying to walk away from the abuse my dad did to me, I’m trying to walk away from the mistakes I made in the past that haunt me. She basically gave me the middle finger told me I wasn’t worth it

      This is definitely a "them" problem. Texting on the toilet is extremely unsanitary and should be avoided. Not to mention you were going through your own stuff and this person tried to make it all about them. Speaking as someone who's been abandoned by "friends" before - it super sucks no matter what, but sometimes it's for the best to be out of a toxic relationship.

      Yes, and in my experience bathroom are a normal and healthy boundary to not want to talk to other humans. If she isn't respectful of that it's her issue. She is trying to shift the blame back to you. Real friends are willing to accept boundaries and work with you on finding new ways to communicate

        @Nemorensis she’s done this many times. She blames me my grandpa co-signed on my car says I was using him when I wasn’t.
