autistic dreams: do you find that your dreams play out themes of social rejection? in most of my dreams when i address people, no one replies. if i for help, no one answers. if I try to join a conversation, im not included. if I try and engage, im invisible. no one touches me. and every time I do speak, it seems like no one is listening or if they do, they only misunderstand. autistic people, what is your experience with this?

@SunInAugust Lexapro was my first offender as an adult. Singulair when I was a kid. But other times, if I'm on a combination too long, vivid dreams occur more often. Every 9-12 months, I have to change something.

I don't generally interact with other people in my dreams, like there might be other people there but there isn't talking

@j_Bug is this a good or bad or neutral thing for you?
@SunInAugust it's pretty neutral, I honestly hadn't considered that it could be any other way
I have dreams where my family will take someone else’s side, even when it’s obviously wrong, and have definitely have had the ones where I’m not seen or heard when I need help. It’s the worst.
@MultiMato i really relate to this, im sorry! Does anything help you?
I have Autism and PTSD. Full disclosure, I microdose cannabis to keep the stressful dreams(similar to what you described but usually angry people), or nightmares away sometimes. I hate that processing! Waking up feeling like garbage emotionally and physically as I did not rest well🙄

@EliteLexy can I ask what a microdose is for you? I'm curious to try
@SunInAugust anywhere between 2-5 mg off thc and I always have cbn with that. Edible form. But everyone's endoccannabinoid system is different, this is just what works for me😉

I've done the lucid dreaming too. For me, if I don't (lucid dream), I will have the dream become recurring where I can't lucid dream as well to change the story. I do have ocd fears that lucid dreaming is terrifying for...(such as...plane crashes on the homes across the street and I can feel the heat from the jet fuel burning), but medication changes help when those pop up.
@anubisplane can I ask what medications were making the dreams worse?
I mean for me I've learned how to lucid dream so that it's not terrible I didn't teach myself I've had various lucid dreams but taught my brain to make the story different
Generally my dreams don't include much social interactions.
Learn how to lucid dream? I taught my brain to let me rewrite stuff occasionally so maybe you can teach you brain what you want your dreams to be like. I get it a lot irl too though, can't rewrite myself
@Sevyn0Sevyn i feel like I only get halfway there. Like, maybe I can decide to open a door but I dont get to decide what's behind it. Or maybe its a bad social situation and I can leave but that doesn't mean a second problem doesn't pop back up
Yeah not so much in dreams but VERY MUCH in real life….. 😭
@DitsyDiabetic im sorry :(
Not in dreams, but in real life for me 😥. I don't really dream, I feel.
@InsidiousAnomaly I feel you 😥💕
