how does everyone cope with night terrors and lucid dreams, sometimes it takes me a good couple of hours to differ between the dream world and reality every morning?

Yes. My dreams right before I wake up are very vivid and often unpleasant. There are usually a lot of people in the dreams and when I wake up it takes me awhile lying there in bed to accept the reality that I live alone. If the dream is good this makes me sad. If it’s bad it can still make me sad because I need to tell someone about it.

Some people cope with night terrors and lucid dreams by journaling about their experiences, feeling all the feelings, and then doing something to relax and distract themselves until they get sleepy again. Others might go for a walk to ground themselves in reality or use specific mantras or prayers. Some may also use medication or call a friend if they are awake. It's also suggested to try and understand the root cause of these dreams as they often have deeper meanings.
