I use to do that too and then I was told by my ex that was weird so I stopped. But I have thought about it lately. It’s good to know I wasn’t alone.

It's like living vicariously through others. A lot of the time with SH, it's about *seeing* the results. When scars start to fade, it makes someone feel like they have to replace them. When the scars go away it's almost like you never did it, and that's an uncomfortable feeling for someone who's addicted to SH behaviors. It's more the proof of the act that we get addicted to rather than the act itself.

It's actually pretty common. It doesn't make you a bad person either. I do the same thing sometimes
