does anyone else get really nervous going to a new doctor because you're scared they won't understand what PCOS is. I'm going to a new doctor and I'm scared they're just going to tell me to lose weight.

it may take a few tries, i know it did for me, but eventually you'll find someone who is a great fit for you. learn to be extremely picky when it comes to doctors and specialists. if you don't like them the first time, chances are you won't later either. find a good fit for you, who will listen and support you.

PCOS, like most invisible illnesses, is just so misunderstood. I'm also always nervous too try out new doctors! I've started calling the office ahead of time and asking them if they work with hormone imbalances. After a quick conversation, it's usually pretty easy to tell if an appointment there is worth my time and money or not.
